Reviews public financial disclosure reports, counsels filers on conflicts of interest, assists filers in completing their reports in compliance with all requirements, and resolves identified conflicts.

Plans, develops and presents programs for training employees in all of the components of the laws, rules and policies that govern the conduct of Government employees.

Provides ongoing education and training for employees throughout the SBA and briefs management in the SBA on the conflict of interest laws and the standards of conduct.

Communicates with necessary government officials, including officials with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE), U.S. Office of Special Counsel, and ethics officials in other Executive Branch Departments and agencies, in resolving specific problems.
