Trissential is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our client's team. The Senior Program Manager will lead the implementation of a new console system for a Dispatch Center. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive project success and facilitate effective collaboration across IT teams and stakeholders. This role is based near Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a hybrid role requiring work onsite during the week.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

The Program Manager oversees the efficient management of several projects' workflow, finances, and resources of assigned teams, and aligns with the project sponsor on the overall project scope and timeline. You will be responsible for the execution and oversight of numerous projects and aligning financial and logistical expectations using timelines/schedules, budget tracking, and resource management Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The position is responsible for senior executive engagement and reporting on the state and performance of initiatives. Additionally, the position oversees the budget and financial management of the program portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and a proven ability to strategize and implement high-level program initiatives. As a leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination, team building, and delegation while possessing a consultative mindset. Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Align with stakeholders on business and technology strategies and identify initiatives for business value.
  • Lead complex projects and ensure program delivery across the organization.
  • Prepare and analyze financial control, resource utilization, risk, change management, unplanned work, and funding proposals. Track cost and schedule performance and trend analysis.
  • Hold self and deliverable owners accountable to program objectives.
  • Lead review sessions with stakeholders on program status, value delivery, risk, and proposal development.
  • Participate in strategic planning for the program portfolio.
  • Translate strategic goals into technical strategies and objectives.
  • Support PMO activities by establishing and refining project management best practices.
  • Collaborate with business, functions, and IT teams for adoption and monitor usage.
  • Ensure project objectives, scope, budget, opportunities, and risks are clear and aligned.
  • Manage program and project teams for optimal ROI, coordinating cross-project initiatives and managing budget and change against established goals.
  • Develop evaluation methods to assess program strengths and identify improvements.
  • Lead and manage team members to optimize productivity and engagement.
  • Ensure goals are met in customer satisfaction, safety, quality, and team performance.
  • Operate the program in accordance with client policies and governance practices.
  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
  • Perform all other assigned duties.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT program or project management.
  • Proven track record of managing complex IT projects and leading cross-functional IT teams.

Experience

  • Familiar with business management best practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in various SDLC and project management methodologies (agile, waterfall, hybrid).
  • Independent work ethic and responsibility for specific areas.
  • Experience in process documentation and improvement.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects of moderate or complex scope.
  • Strong technical and business acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Project, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively.

Benefits

Trissential offers competitive compensation package for full time roles. The pay range for this role hourly is $70 to $90 based on candidate's qualifications and experience. This role is eligible for benefits and includes options for medical, dental, vision, and tele-health benefits; Health Savings Account with company contribution; 48 hours of safe and sick time, and 401k retirement savings.
