Sr. Structural Engineer

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is looking for an Structural Engineer to apply advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials in other organizations. They provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others with a high degree of reliance placed on scientific interpretations and advice.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for technical content on construction released structural drawings for structural steel and concrete
  • Responsible for preparing structural calculations for structural steel and concrete
  • Responsible for conceptual and final foundation design including spread footings, piles, and drilled shafts
  • Responsible for preparing construction specifications
  • Responsible for providing technical support during construction for all structural activities

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Professional Engineer License preferred
  • Experience in structural and civil engineering is preferred
