Description:

Threads materials from parent roll through guides and rollers to machine

Starts machine, observes operation, and adjusts machine to ensure uniform shearing, printing, folding, gluing, or sealing of continuous roll of material into finished bags.

Ensures quality product is being produced by making the necessary adjustments to the bag machine and checking quality throughout the process.

Maintains the bag machine and the immediate area to keep the department neat and orderly including following cleaning procedures.

Shuts down and cleans up department at the shifts end

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance), carrying (same as lifting), pushing (Reels), pulling (Reels), stooping, bending, reaching, handling (pulling samples from baggers), talking and hearing (communicating with other printer members), visual acuity (far and near).

Ability to handle 1 meter reels and lift empty pallets (weighing 25-40 pounds)

Bagger make ready duties requires physical ability to lift and carry forming blades (up to 50 pounds).

Must be able to speak, read and write English. Must have basic math skills. Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Able to read and understand SOP's and follow procedures in place for machines and division
