Position Summary:

Operate equipment assigned with the highest degree of quality and efficiency. Ensures the safety, cleanliness, and orderliness of the equipment and area. Equipment types could be Descrambler, Labeler, Filler, Case Packer, Boxers, and/or Palletizer. Performs duties assigned by the Floor Lead and Production Supervisor.


This position requires flexibility to cover 2 different shifts. This Floater position will cover needs on 1st and 2nd shifts. Weekend availability required. Local applicants only.


Primary Functions:

  1. Operates machine as required and follows SOPs.
  2. Will be changing over equipment or complete CIPs as needed.
  3. Stock machine as needed.
  4. Maintains a clean work area.
  5. Communicate effectively with maintenance regarding mechanical issues.
  6. Communicates effectively with Supervision and team.
  7. Suggest improvements in safety, quality, and efficiency.
  8. Constantly monitor product on the conveyor lines.
  9. Follow CPF policies and procedures.
  10. Maintain downtime logs and is responsible for keeping supervisor informed of current and impending problems on the front end of the production line.
  11. Completes documentation and quality forms accurately and in a timely manner.
  12. Performs all necessary quality checks and testing as determined by the Quality Department or management.
  13. Monitors job tasks to ensure food safety and quality and promptly reports any concerns or issues to supervisor and/or Quality Assurance Department
  14. Completes associated production paperwork in a neat, timely, and accurate manner.
  15. Will maintain the highest standards of quality and GMPs
  16. Observes safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  17. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Possess the ability to maintain safe and efficient operations of all filler lines, casers, boxers, tray packers, and bundlers and work effectively in each area as business needs dictate.
  3. Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong basic math and written/oral communications skills.
  5. Visual and auditory acuity, hand and eye coordination, finger dexterity, and the ability to access work area.
  6. Ability to perform the job functions in a timely manner consistent with industry norms and the Company's experience with the time required to perform the functions.
  7. Remember, follow, and understand on the job training.
  8. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  9. Read and understand written instructions.
  10. Maintain records and print legibly.
  11. Ability to prioritize and accurately complete necessary work.
  12. Communicate effectively using appropriate interpersonal skills.

  • Manufacturing environment
  • Wet Environment (juice/water):While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Weekend Work
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however the employee may be required to enter production areas where the noise level is usually loud and hearing protection is required.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and walk.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
