Scope of Position:

We are seeking a skilled Grinder Operator to join our team, specializing in working with stainless steel castings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various grinding and finishing equipment to ensure high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain equipment including scissor table, pneumatic vice, disc grinder, pencil grinder, snag grinder, swing grinder, belt sander, small cut-off saw, jib crane, and abrasive blast

Perform daily equipment start-up inspections and operate all machinery in a safe manner

Follow written and verbal instructions accurately

Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Work cooperatively with team members and maintain a positive attitude

Requirements:

Experience in grinding operations, preferably with stainless steel castings

Ability to demonstrate good daily work habits, including punctuality and adherence to break schedules

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend frequently, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity

Adaptability to various environmental conditions and safety requirements

Willingness to wear and maintain proper PPE, including steel-toe shoes, respirators, eye protection, and gloves

Aural acuity to detect equipment issues and maintain safe working conditions

Team-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal skills

Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a factory environment

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in manufacturing or metalworking preferred

Training or certification in equipment operation a plus
