The Finance and Operations department provides insights and intelligence to guide decision-making, drives digitalization and business solutions, and aims to achieve NNI goals. This department collaborates closely across the organization to assist with resource allocations, investment decisions, core operations, and developing insights for growth and operational excellence throughout the value chain. Responsibilities include managing accounting, ensuring workplace safety, overseeing the supply chain, supporting technological and data innovation, providing patient solutions, maintaining facilities, and ensuring the integrity of business transactions. The Position
Joining the Strategic Market Intelligence team, the primary goal of this role is to collaborate with Cardiovascular and Emerging Therapies teams to provide insights through data-driven analytics. This position involves close work with cross-functional teams and management at various levels. The focus is to support Emerging pipeline therapeutic areas with comprehensive analytics to shape future strategies, drive market initiatives, and plan for pipeline assets. The Emerging Insights and Pipeline Analytics Manager will collaborate with data strategy partners to conduct in-depth analysis, using various data sets and systems to deliver clear, actionable insights. Responsibilities also include creating evidence-based communication materials for stakeholders and working in a dynamic environment.
Relationships
This role reports to the Associate Director, Strategic Market Intelligence, building strong relationships with pipeline business unit partners, commercial insights, and analytics partners. External collaborations may include data vendors, consultants, and technology developers.
Essential Functions
- Data Mining / Analytics in support of market insights
- Conducts detailed investigations into physician-level, patient-level, and transactional-level data to gain business insights independently or with data partners. Utilizes large datasets to identify market trends and opportunities, interprets findings, and ensures data accuracy and integrity.
- Systematic Monitoring of Business and Market Trends and Actionable Insights
- Develops ongoing analysis and reporting to communicate business issues clearly, identifies opportunities, and streamlines processes based on business needs.
- Communicating insights to business partners
- Translates data insights into actionable recommendations, effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders using visual tools.
Physical Requirements
Occasional travel may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in relevant field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in sales analysis, forecasting, or related areas
- Pharmaceutical analytics experience preferred
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI, R, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and experience with big data
- General coding experience beneficial
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
- Project management experience
- Curiosity, initiative, creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent team communication and project management skills
