Director of Campus Ministry

Lead and implement Catholic and Xaverian mission and faith formation experiences through campus ministry programs. Embrace diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice initiatives and implement them through the school's Catholic identity and Xaverian Charisms. Strong commitment to student life, fostering a faith-centered welcoming environment, and the promotion of Xaverian values.

• Actively promote the Xaverian charism of the school. Initiate and develop opportunities that broaden spiritual growth, appreciation for the Catholic faith, commitment to service, and community building within our school.
• Oversee, mentor, and motivate the Campus Ministry team and other associated adult and student leaders.
• Oversee, coordinate, and staff (or delegate) the implementation of all class-level and faculty/staff Retreats, Student and Faculty Faith Formation, XBSS, and Service Programs through collaborative leadership of the Campus Ministry Team and other adult leaders.
• Participate in local and domestic retreats and service trips, as scheduled.
• Works collaboratively with the Chaplain on organizing school-wide liturgies, prayer services, and developing innovative and engaging approaches to enhancing the prayer experiences of the school.
• Seek and develop unique opportunities for members of the school community to observe and celebrate the Sacraments and other religious holidays.
• Oversees the selection and cultivation of adult and student leaders in the Campus Ministry program.
• Maintains a strong connection with the XBSS network and the Archdiocese.
• Acknowledges and celebrates religious diversity within the school community.
• Proactively communicates the activities of the Campus Ministry program to the broader community.
• Serves on the Administrative Management Team and Board Diversity Committee.
• Maintains regular contact with the Academic Council.
• Develops and manages the Campus Ministry budget.
• Assumes a one-class teaching load.
• Approves School-Wide Charity Drives in conjunction with the Principal and Chief Advancement Officer.
• Other duties as assigned by the Chief Mission and Identity Officer and/or the President.
  • Possesses a minimum of a bachelor's degree in related areas of studies; master's degree/M. Div. or M.A. in Theology, or the equivalent, preferred.
  • Possesses a well-developed knowledge of and experience in the Charism of the Xaverian Brothers.
  • Experience facilitating youth programs and the pillars of Campus Ministry (Retreat, Word and Worship, Service, and Formation).
  • Is a practicing Catholic with a demonstrated commitment to sharing their faith experience.
  • Relevant Catholic school teaching, ministry, and/or leadership experience preferably in a XBSS school.
  • Have at least five years of experience working in a mission focused organization.
  • Have at least three years of Catholic campus ministry, or related, experience.
  • Understand Xaverian identity and Catholic school mission.
  • Experience managing a team, and/or commitment to professional growth and mentorship in that area.
