Religion Teacher

Responsible for lesson planning, teaching, and assessing Religion skills and content as well as forming students in a manner consistent with a Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School.

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School is a private , Catholic , college preparatory , coeducational high school in Olney, Maryland . It is located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington .

The school was founded in 1958 as an all-boys school in Wheaton, Maryland. In 1988, the school became coeducational. During the school year, the school relocated to a new, sprawling 51-acre, high-tech campus in beautiful Olney , Maryland.

Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies, Theology, or related content area required. Candidate must be Catholic in good standing. Master's Degree preferred.

Student teaching or similar experience required. 3-5 years teaching experience preferred.

Ability to plan and deliver effective lesson plans, assess student learning, work as a member of a collaborative team, communicate with students, parents, and colleagues, enforce school policies, and follow school procedures. Ability to effectively leverage technology in performance of duties.
