MaxFund Animal Adoption Center is the largest 501c3 non-profit, no-kill animal shelter in Colorado. We are looking for qualified applicants to fill 6 Certified Veterinary Technician positions.

At MaxFund, our passion is to provide uncompromising medicine while maintaining the very best in client satisfaction. As a team member, you will be encouraged to use all your schooling and education as a launching pad to grow your technical acumen in emergency triage, emergency and critical care, surgical preparation/assisting, anesthesia, radiology, laboratory skills, record keeping, and client communications.

Responsibilities will include:

Passion for working with animals

Communicate with clients and potential adopters and fosters.

Use safe restraint techniques, follow protocol, and sustain clean and organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.

Be able to perform all Technician duties including but not limited to cleaning and dressing wounds, administering medication, collecting samples, checking vitals, supporting surgery, anesthesia, x-ray, drawing and running blood work, urinalysis, placing IV catheters, reviewing discharge instructions, etc.

Assist the veterinarian during surgeries and other procedures by sterilizing tools, stocking the exam and operating rooms, and confirming that equipment is all working correctly.

Update patient files, review care plans, and handle other administrative duties as necessary.

Ability to prioritize and manage numerous different patient needs at one time.

Attention to detail to maintain accurate patient records

Willingness to take direction.

Spanish is a plus.
