Description of Duties:

Title: Product Development Coordinator

Classification: Non-Exempt

Hourly Range*: $24.00/hr

Location: HQ, 14801 Califa St. Van Nuys, CA

Schedule*: Hybrid, 4 days in the office, 1 day remote

DÔEN is looking for an exceptional Product Development Coordinator to join our growing team in Los Angeles. This is an on-site position, reporting to the VP of Product Development and serves a critical role in helping support our product teams. Your role will involve seamless coordination between various departments including Design, Production and Tech Design, and daily correspondence with our global vendors. The responsibilities below show a glimpse into the role's key functions and the impactful contributions this position makes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage apparel development from initial sketch to SMS.

Launch and monitor progress of seasonal trim and fabric developments with appropriate vendors.

Drive innovation in material and trim sourcing with Doen Preferred Material Strategy in consideration.

Ship reference samples, fabric and trims to factories to aid development.

Review all new lab dip, fabric and trim submits with Design for approval.

Issue POs each season for fabric and trims, as approved.

Maintain and audit Style and Sample WIPs daily.

Monitor TP sending dates, proto receipt dates, and sample fit stages throughout development.

Attend all development fittings to capture BOM changes and communicate updates to factories.

Responsible for BOM updates through the development cycle.

Request SMS samples from factories and push to ensure all SMS is in house by the calendar due date.

Daily collaboration with the PD Team, including Sample Coordinator, to cost and organize all SMS samples and ensure samples are distributed to the appropriate department in a timely manner.

Assist in gathering and cross-checking development costing for Collection Review. Identify key challenges and offer creative solutions.

Liaise daily with cross functional teams including Design, Tech, Production and Merch.

Daily communication with vendors and factories to ensure key calendar deadlines are met.

Qualifications

Development experience (3+ years) preferred but not limited

Computer proficiency in MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Google Sheets

Computer proficiency in Photoshop & Illustrator

Flexible and adaptable in a rapidly growing company

Ability to foster an inclusive and respectful working environment

Strong planning and organizational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodation

Periods sitting at a desk, typing, sketching and working on a computer

Able to life/move/push/pull objects up to 25 lbs

Able to walk, sit and stand for periods of time

Able to operate equipment such as computers, copy machines, phones

Must be able to access various areas of a given location
