•Management of telemetry
•Interpretation of cardiac rhythms
•Management of dysrhythmias
•O2 Protocol
•Non-invasive airway management
•Peripheral line care/management
•Isolation precaution/PPE
•Experience with cardiac drips (nitro, Cardizem, amiodarone, Nicardipine, other IMCU LOC gtts)
•Rapid response team activation
•Computerized documentation
•Patient ratios: o RN 1:4-6 o CNA 1:6-13 on days and 1:10-13 on nights
•1 year of experience within the last three years in MS/Tele/PCU (neuro trauma stepdown experience with NIHHS certification preferred).

Surgical Neurotrauma care unitLocated on the fourth floor of Building A, the 30-bed surgical neuro trauma care unit (SNTCU) is a brand new unit at Salem Health. It opened in July of 2022 in our new Building A expansion tower. SNTCU serves patients who suffer from a wide variety of medical conditions. We plan to become a Surgical Neuro Trauma ICU/IMCU unit within the next few years.
