Job DescriptionEpic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN to join our team in Salem, Oregon. As a travel nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a Telemetry PCU setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients with various medical conditions, including acute and chronic respiratory failure, sepsis, and cardiac conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform various medical procedures, including IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
- Document patient care and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Oregon.
- 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in MS/Tele/PCU.
- AHA BLS certification.
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythms interpretation.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to other units as needed.
Unit Information:
- Ratios: 1:3-4.
- Patient diagnoses: Acute and chronic respiratory failure, sepsis, acute and chronic kidney failure, metabolic encephalopathy, diabetic ketoacidosis, A Fib, heart failure, GI bleed, non-ST elevation myocardial infarct, unstable angina, drug ingestion/overdose.
- Special procedures/unit details: IMCU will be overflow for CVCU, post ablations, post pacers, post Angio's.
