Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Architect is responsible for driving the testing tool strategy and orchestration at OCC. This role involves setting the technical direction for QA work, supporting the test automation team, and collaborating closely with development and test teams to achieve OCC's quality objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, develop, and maintain software testing tool frameworks and solutions for OCC, implementing best practices.
  • Establish design principles for QA automation, Performance, and Failover Testing, presenting options and recommendations as needed.
  • Research automation technologies, assess feasibility of implementation, and provide ROI statistics.
  • Validate existing automation frameworks and optimize for consistent quality.
  • Develop and maintain Jenkins pipeline for automated execution of test automation scripts.
  • Understand the data flow from Jira to Test Management tool, design generic workflows, and debug tool integration issues.
  • Identify opportunities for automation to replace manual tasks and minimize cycle time.
  • Research and develop automation frameworks for Data Analytics and Reporting applications.
  • Collaborate with Agile team throughout the Lifecycle to ensure quality in analysis, design, development, and testing.
  • Participate in Sprint planning sessions, assist in creating stories with acceptance criteria, and identify missing requirements.
  • Document end-to-end Business Process automation test strategy, implement it, and prepare training materials.
  • Influence test teams in automation adherence and demonstrate value add to leadership teams.
  • Implement Agile philosophies to ensure information system products meet quality standards, performance requirements, and security rules.
  • Support production by testing time-sensitive defects and providing system functionality advice.
  • Analyze test results, identify patterns, and provide feedback to requirements, design, and development teams.
Qualifications:
  • Strong design and development skills in automation technologies such as Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, and ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and tools, Lifecyle development, change control management, and test planning management.
  • Analytical skills to test sophisticated systems, diagnose defects, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Highly motivated with creative problem-solving abilities, able to multitask and meet deadlines in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with Data Analytics, Reporting, and working with Relational databases.
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, Protractor, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, Zephyr, Test Management, and more.
  • Programming knowledge in Java, Java Script, VB script, Python, and experience with ETL and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation software, CI/CD pipelines, performance testing tools, and containerization technologies.
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and Linux OS.
Experience:
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
  • 10+ years in IT industry with 5+ years in Quality Engineering and tool architecture.
  • Experience in Agile methodology, Jira integration, creating automation scripts, and developing Jenkins pipelines.
  • Options and Futures industry experience preferred.
