At Cisco's Global Manufacturing Business Transformation Office (BTO), we're leading the integration of AI and ML into our supply chain processes. Our team is on a quest to harness advanced technologies for business transformation in key areas like order fulfillment and inventory management. We're in search of a seasoned Technical Program Manager (TPM) to spearhead our AI/ML initiatives, ensuring they align with our strategic vision and deliver tangible value.

What You'll Do

As a TPM within our BTO, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the end-to-end program management of AI/ML and associated software development projects, aligning them with Cisco's strategic business goals.
  • Collaborating with the Data Science and Innovation (DS&I) team, consisting of data scientists, data engineers, and other technical experts, to drive innovative solutions in supply chain operations.
  • Engaging with Business Leaders: You'll actively collaborate with business leaders and partners across the supply chain to drive alignment on project goals. Your role involves collecting and assessing requests for adjustments in our AI and data science projects, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business.
  • Planning with Technical Insight: With your in-depth understanding of MLOps, the machine learning lifecycle, data architecture, and software development, you will be instrumental in planning and guiding our projects from their initial stages right through to successful deployment.
  • Employing strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills to navigate project challenges, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of team members.
Who You'll Work With

  • The BTO team, where your program management expertise will catalyze significant transformations in the supply chain.
  • The DS&I team, where your leadership will amplify the technical capabilities, driving the success of pivotal projects.
  • Business leaders across the organization, where your contributions will shape strategic decisions and develop a culture of innovation and excellence.

An experienced TPM with a deep understanding of AI/ML and software development, you bring a blend of technical skill and leadership prowess, characterized by:

  • A proven track record in technical program management, particularly in AI/ML or software development.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, with a gift for impactful communication across technical and non-technical collaborators.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, driving multi-functional teams to deliver complex projects efficiently.
  • A collaborative leadership mentality, continuously seeking insights from customers, team members, and market trends to further learning and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on AI/ML or software development
  • 2+ years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or managing full product life-cycles

Preferred Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with supply chain management and Cisco's business transformation objectives
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget

Critical Competencies:

  • Strategic Vision: Ability to align technical projects with broader business transformation goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of the technical nuances of AI/ML projects, data architecture, and deployment.
  • Influential Leadership: Capable of leading by influence and empowering multi-functional teams towards common goals.

Why Cisco?

#WeAreCisco. We are all unique, but collectively we bring our talents to work as a team, to develop innovative technology and power a more inclusive, digital future for everyone. How do we do it? Well, for starters - with people like you

Nearly every internet connection around the world touches Cisco. We're the Internet's optimists. Our technology makes sure the data traveling at light speed across connections does so securely, yet it's not what we make but what we make happen which marks us out. We're helping those who work in the health service to connect with patients and each other; schools, colleges, and universities to teach in even the most challenging of times. We're helping businesses of all shapes and sizes to connect with their employees and customers in new ways, providing people with access to the digital skills they need and connecting the most remote parts of the world - whether through 5G, or otherwise.

We tackle whatever challenges come our way. We have each other's backs, we recognize our accomplishments, and we grow together. We celebrate and support one another - from big and small things in life to big career moments. And giving back is in our DNA (we get 10 days off each year to do just that).

We know that powering an inclusive future starts with us. Because without diversity and a dedication to equality, there is no moving forward. Our 30 Inclusive Communities, that bring people together around commonalities or passions, are leading the way. Together we're committed to learning, listening, caring for our communities, whilst supporting the most vulnerable with a collective effort to make this world a better place either with technology, or through our actions.

So, you have colorful hair? Don't care. Tattoos? Show off your ink. Like polka dots? That's cool. Pop culture geek? Many of us are. Passion for technology and world changing? Be you, with us #WeAreCisco
