Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded Hitech/Gaming Business Development Manager , to be based in West Coast Bay Area, to drive growth in any of these domains (Gaming, Hi-tech, Semiconductor) . The ideal candidate will be responsible for capitalizing on new business opportunities, establishing business solutions, and driving revenue growth within the technology industry, specializing Hi-tech and gaming industries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a comprehensive business development strategy to expand our footprint particularly in hi-tech and gaming areas
  • Identify and engage with potential clients, fostering relationships in the industry and in Cognizant through value-based domain selling.
  • Collaborate with client partners, technical teams to identify white spaces in the client's landscape and craft tailored solutions and proposals aligned with client needs.
  • Come with and stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Lead business and techno-functional discussions, client value discovery workshops, and ensure revenue success with clients and partners.
  • Role will carry a sales and BD enablement target that would need to be met/exceeded by implementing effective GTM strategies and initiatives, working with hi-tech companies, FAMGA, Gaming companies and semiconductor companies.
  • Key responsibility would be to shape up technology solutions into client aligned business solutions and stitch/articulate a comprehensive value proposition to clients.
  • Be travel ready to drive due diligence, value discovery workshops, proposal presentations with clients across the globe.
  • Experience in establishing and cultivating partnerships through relationships, asset creation and GTM and crafting the right fit operating model with partners.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in being a subject matter authority in hi-tech and gaming
  • Deep business and techno-functional understanding of Hi-tech industry – products, value chain, R&D, Sales & Marketing, Verticalization, semiconductor, gaming, PaaS.
  • Deep knowledge with execution experience in any one of these areas – Product innovation, product engineering, product verticalization, semiconductor, gaming content, gaming commerce, PaaS/SaaS.
  • Ideally should have worked for a leading Hi-tech client around in any one of these areas.
  • Should be an exponent in bringing out Gen AI use cases in product engineering, semiconductor and/or gaming industries
  • Strong connects within the industry and a demonstrated ability to build and cultivate client relationships as the "Go-To" advisor on the subject area covering Day -1 to Day 3 scenarios.

Preferred Experience

  • MS or MBA degree preferred
  • Ability to contribute to new business development efforts and to lead multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Must be detail oriented and able to lead and maintain all facets of complex assignments
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with the skills to identify strategic solutions to business problems with enterprise-wide implications
  • Demonstrate the flexibility to work among diverse corporate environments, industries, and technical and non-technical audiences
