SAIC is actively seeking a Senior Policy Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Military Training team in support of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense/ Readiness (OASD(R)) customer.

Work is onsite at the Pentagon in Washington D.C.

Job Duties:

Draft policy documents related to cybersecurity in a variety of formats, to include memorandums and instructions. Review, research, analyze, and communicate the potential impacts of proposed legislation on DoD policies, programs, and positions related to the cybersecurity readiness of Service members and families.Perform tasks including researching, analyzing proposed legislation, and preparing responses to Congressional inquiries concerning cyber training and overall readiness.Develop memorandums, information papers, talking points, and briefings for senior DoD leaders that communicate policies, positions, programmatic information, requirements, and requests for information. Responses from Military Training will either be quick term responses and long-term assignments.Advocate for cyber training, coordinate and partner with the Military Services, DoD CIO, Joint Staff, USCYBERCOM, and USD(I&S) ensuring the cyber workforce has access to relevant and realistic training capabilities. Focus is on cyber training includes individual and collective training; however, understanding training tasks in Service and Joint exercises is also within scope.As the DoD's Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) for Advanced Cyber Training Curricula, work with the Secretary of the Army's staff on executing policy established in DoDD E, "DoD Executive Agent for Advanced Cyber Training Curricula," Oct 18, 2023. Additionally, as the PSA for Cyber Training Ranges, execute and enforce policy established in DoDD E, "DoD Executive Agents for Cyber Test and Cyber Training Ranges," Aug 24, 2018.As the SME representing the senior signatory of the PCTE charter, ensure the proper governance model is in place and executed so that each of the users of the PCTE have equitable access to the training platform. Review and provide comment on requirements, architecture., and capabilities enhancements to the Persistent Cyber Training Environment (PCTE). Communicate with the users of the PCTE to ensure their requirements are addressed in the PCTE governance model. Prepare read ahead material and re-brief senior executives on cyber training and readiness issues that are presented at the principal level.Coordinate with the DoD CIO and USCYBERCOM for the agenda and actions for the Cyber Training Advisory Council (CyTAC). The CyTAC is the only DoD-wide training forum focused on identifying, reviewing, and assessing training requirements and standards for validation as common cyberspace training. Additionally, the CyTAC seeks to advance and maintain a relevant enterprise training continuum, by identifying requirements, solutions, and resources.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree and 15 years relevant work; four (4) years of experience in lieu of degree.

Required Security Clearance:

Active secret clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (US Citizenship required).

Required Skills or Experiences:

Previous staff experience with demonstrated strong communications and writing skills. Given general guidelines and messaging and then able to generate strategic and logical briefing, and staffing documents. Strong analytics and attention to detail skills required.Understanding of cyber training for both cyber professions and members at large. This includes individual and collective cyber training. Understand the various DCWF work roles and how training is structures for each of the work roles. Have a general understanding of various cyber training capabilities including computer-based instruction, hardware-in-the-loop, and virtual training, e.g., PCTEDemonstrate knowledge of the construct and supporting training for the Cyber Mission Force (CMF), and Title 10 training.Demonstrated understanding of individual and collective training supporting the CMF.Experience working in cybersecurity related areas. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
