Job Description The Opportunity: Join BAE Systems' Intelligence and Security Sector and be part of a diverse and enthusiastic team who supports the U.S Navy's Strategic System Program (SSP). We are searching for a Cybersecurity Supervisor with excellent hands on experience in Cyber Security, Project Management, and supervising direct reports. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 3 days a week in the office.

The Role: As a Cybersecurity Supervisor you will provide support to the Echelon II Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and their Team supporting Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, and Information Management to the SSP Command Information Officer (CIO). You will:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to the Echelon II Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) as well as System ISSMs.
  • Work directly with the Echelon II ISSM to identify strategic goals and objectives
  • Lead the breakdown of the project goals into achievable objectives
  • Work with the Echelon II ISSM to effectively prioritize projects and tasking for direct reports
  • Support and provide expert guidance on all steps of the Navy's Risk Management Framework
  • Maintain the SSP Enterprise systems Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages; topologies; ports, protocol, and services lists; contingency plans, disaster recovery procedures, incident response plans, and POA&Ms.
  • Support the development and monitoring of cybersecurity policy and procedures
  • Analyze and advise on issues, threats, and incident responses for enterprise and tactical systems
  • Assist in conducting internal audits of enterprise IT networks, systems, applications, and security tools to ensure they adhere to Navy, and DoD security policies and procedures (e.g., STIGs, CTOs, IAVMs, FRAGOs, NTDs, etc.) and applicable frameworks and regulations (e.g., NIST, FISMA, etc.)
  • Review DoD, DON cyber security alerts, notices, IAVMs, etc., and conduct risk assessments and discuss mitigation strategies when needed.
  • Provide technical guidance to the IAM/ISSM, CIO, Cybersecurity Workgroup (CSWG), Program Managers (PMs), Program Management Officers (PMOs), FBM Partners, etc. on cybersecurity matters and initiatives, including researching new technologies to counter evolving threats.
  • Perform supervisory duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training, evaluating, counselling, and disciplining employees.
  • Ensure personnel are properly qualified to perform duties effectively. Identify successors for all key positions. Sets technical and performance objectives with subordinates. Conduct performance appraisals. Ensure that all personnel are informed of and adhere to all pertinent company policies and procedures.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills BAE has found that success in this position requires:
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Experience with all steps of the Navy's Risk Management Framework
  • Knowledge and experience with assessing NIST security controls
  • Familiarity with NIST Special Publications
  • Experience with information security configuration guides or DISA STIGs
  • Knowledge and understanding of security technologies including vulnerability scanning (ACAS), firewalls, HBSS and data protection/encryption systems
  • Experience developing policies, procedures, and technical training materials
  • Solid analytical, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work with teams and independently on projects
  • Experience developing strategic goals and objectives
  • Experience managing projects of various size to include multi-team projects
  • Experience creating project charters, project plans, and project schedules
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with partners and government officials
  • An active DoD Secret Security Clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • An IAM III certificate as specified in the DoD 8570
    • Or have a SECNAV 5239 qualifying degree and the ability to meet the requirements for an IAM III as specified in the DoD 8570 within 6 months of start date
  • At least 3 days a week onsite.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Common Access Card (CAC) along with badge access to the customer's facility, and to obtain and maintain a network account in good standing on the customer's network
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Additional experience, and skills that will further contribute to your success include:
  • Master's degree in the Cybersecurity Field
  • CISSP
  • Qualified Navy Validator
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $215270

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
