The Opportunity: Radiology Patient Navigator - Radiology at Salem, NH

Why This Role Is Important

Reporting to the Radiology Manager, The Radiology Patient Navigator will work directly with Radiology Patients and Radiologic Technologists to ensure the flow of the department is efficient and patient experience is top priority.

What You'll Work On

The Radiology Patient Navigator - Radiology at Salem, NH will be primarily accountable for:

• Provide competent, compassionate patient care

• Phone intake as well as exam prep reminder calls

• Coordination of Patient Care

• Managing follow up Radiology Appts, annual visits

• Assist patient with scheduling exams in other departments

• Communicate plan of care to other team members within Radiology

• Act as a patient advocate

• Assist in changing patients for and after exams

• Administrative duties

• Receive and schedule Radiology Appts

• Support modality technologists where and when appropriate

• Document verbal and written correspondence with patient in Epic

• Maintain strong working relationships with other departments in order to facilitate efficient patient care.

• Perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to demonstrate any knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the patients serviced in the Radiology Department.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Experience working in Radiology is preferred

• Radiology experience preferred

• Epic Radiant experience preferred but not required

• Excellent listening and communication skills

• Must be self-directed and able to organize multiple tasks

Qualifications
About You
  • High school degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in high touch customer service or patient-facing roles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, demonstrating a forward-thinking perspective when under pressure and consistently stepping up to take action on challenges
  • Proficiency in technology including navigating the internet and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Proficiency with an EHR, Epic experience preferred
