Job Description Summary:

Uses data visualization software, primarily Tableau, to design, build and maintain reporting dashboards that transform raw financial and work related data into quantitative and qualitative insight regarding division technology spend. Uses predictive modeling, statistics, trend analysis, and other data analysis techniques to collect, explore, and identify the right data to be analyzed from internal and external sources, then constructs reports to explain or predict spend behavior and solve a variety of business problems. Collaborates with external data owners to ensure source data quality aligns with business needs. Assists business analysts with finding patterns and relationships in data. May use programming and software such as SAS, WEKA, SPSS, C/C++/SQL, Perl or Java, but the primary technical focus will be on data visualization experience with Tableau. Provides resolutions to an extensive range of complicated problems. Solutions are innovative, thorough, and practicable. Works under limited direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is evaluated upon completion for adequacy in satisfying objectives. Represents the organization as the principal customer contact on contracts and often performs project leadership role. Interacts with senior customer personnel on significant technical matters frequently requiring coordination across organizational lines. College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred. Typically has 5 - 7 years related experience.

Our Impact:

The team is responsible for designing new intuitive reports and dashboards to support an enterprise-wide change effort to standardize financial reporting to enable enhanced transparency into Technology spend at Freddie Mac.

Your Impact:

You will have the opportunity to design new standardized dashboards and reports that will be applied across Freddie Mac to better understand Technology spend.

Qualifications:

5+ Years experience in Data Analytics, Business Reporting, Business Analytics, Accounting, and/or Finance:

  • Data wrangling, data manipulation, visualizations, dashboarding, and reporting
  • Development of Tableau Dashboards and fluent in Data Visualization Strategy
  • Working with financial systems, management information systems, data warehouses, data marts, and/or relational databases to develop business intelligence
  • Working with customers to define business requirements
  • Implementing technical solutions based on business requirements
  • Working through the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Developing SQL, Tableau Desktop/Server, Python, Hyperion Smartview, and/or Advanced Excel
  • Working in an Agile team leveraging JIRA for work management
  • Working with non-relational data structures and tools such as (Data Lake, Dremio, JSON, etc.)
  • 2+ years mentoring/training junior staff in acquisition of technical skills
