WHAT YOU'LL DO

Voluntary Investment Platform was established by BCG back in 2016 exclusively for its Managing Director & Partner cohort (MDPs) and other senior employees. It gives BCG investors the chance to invest in alternative assets through investment funds created by the firm. The main goal of the platform is to simplify the investment management process for BCG investors and provide them with a top-notch investor experience. Since its launch, the platform has gained popularity among BCG investors, managing a total of 15 funds with over $1.6B in commitments and involving more than 1500 BCG employees, with more fund raises in the pipeline.

This position will assist the Fund Operations Senior Manager and Investment Operations Senior Director in overseeing the investment platform activities at BCG. The role offers a valuable opportunity for the right candidate to explore the world of alternative investments and be fully engaged in all operational aspects of the funds. Responsibilities will cover various tasks such as quarterly closes, handling capital calls and distributions, monitoring investment performance, as well as handling tax and financial reporting. Additionally, the candidate will be in charge of managing external vendor relationships and acting as the primary contact with the fund administrator, tax, and audit teams.

  • Collaborate with Fund Operations Senior Manager to maintain accurate fund records
  • Build strong relationships with internal BCG teams, fund administrators, and external service providers
  • Work closely with administrators during quarter-end procedures, including the review of valuations and investor allocations
  • Verify incoming and outgoing capital calls/distributions, investor notices, and cash reconciliations
  • Lead the annual audit process, work closely with the fund's auditors, and ensure timely issuance of financial statements
  • Take charge of the tax-related tasks, collaborate with the tax team on issuing necessary tax statements, including K-1s and tax estimates
  • Assist in compliance testing and monitoring activities for the funds
  • Contribute to driving automation initiatives and supporting special projects

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • More than 7 years of relevant experience at a fund administrator or investment manager
  • Solid understanding of accounting, reporting, and taxation for investment vehicles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including strong skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint. Knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI is advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Capability to think independently, prioritize tasks, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attentive to detail and maintaining accuracy in tasks
  • High levels of initiative, self-motivation, and collaboration
  • Proactive in enhancing processes, identifying efficiency opportunities

The Voluntary Investment Platform team is under the PSG team's umbrella. PSG offers a broad range of services to our BCG MDPs, managing compensation, equity systems, and related affairs. The model is a flexible system tailored to support a growing, diverse global partnership. Aside from managing the model, the team contributes significantly to the development and evaluation processes and worldwide financial operations.
