Senior People Partner – Finance, Controllership & Tax

What can you expect?

The Senior People Partner (SPP) is a senior human capital advisor for MMC Corporate, providing forward-looking strategic HR counsel for executive level business leaders in MMC Corporate's Finance, Controllership and Tax communities. The Senior People Partner aligns people and talent initiatives with MMC's business goals and strategies to ensure superior organizational performance is achieved. Additionally, the Senior People Partner provides management oversight to other People Partners assigned to the same business.

The SSP is responsible for ensuring that the business talent and people strategies across MMC Corporate are aligned to business strategy by establishing strong partnership between business leaders and expert advisors from other parts of HR.

We will count on you to:

  • Partner with finance, controllership, and tax to oversee the community of client-facing colleagues across the US in close partnership with zone leaders
  • Facilitate conversations and establish strong partnerships between business leaders and advisors from other parts of the People function.
  • Ensure the entire HR portfolio is appropriately represented and provides business perspective to COEs to inform program design.
  • Consult with business leaders and People Partners on succession processes and in calibration with leaders, oversees the talent review process, especially in providing counsel for high level colleagues and in complex situations.
  • Consult with leaders on reward strategy and related initiatives within their businesses.
  • Advise leaders and oversees projects on organizational effectiveness using metrics to measure results and works with COE's to optimize outcomes.
  • Shape and deliver restructuring projects liaising with HR Managers.
  • Consult with leaders on any I&D challenges and provides business input and perspective to COE to inform any studies or action planning.
  • Oversee regular assessments of I&D health within business
  • Provide business-related input between leaders and COE to determine optimal sourcing strategies and attends interviews and advises on selection as appropriate (senior audiences only)
  • Review survey results at the business level with leaders; establishes action plans based on results
  • Collaborate with the Employee Relations COE to provide business perspectives and promote alignment to the people strategy regarding policy matters and standardization, advisor regarding cases that require escalation to senior leadership levels
  • Where required, act as the senior business representative in regulatory or statutory processes whether internal (e.g., works councils) or external bodies (e.g., immigration authorities)
  • Provide leadership and supervision to other Senior People Partners and People Partners

What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of 8 experience in HR roles ideally experiencing operational and strategic aspects of finance, controllership, and/or tax groups

The applicable base salary range for this role is $129,000 to $258,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
