The impact you'll make... The Executive Chef - Evelyn's is responsible for supporting the management and direction of food and beverage and culinary operations in Evelyn's restaurant and in room dining. Key responsibility areas include department performance, effective cost controls and development, recruitment, training and retention of key employees. What you'll be doing...Manage the daily production, preparation, and presentation of all food for the hotel's restaurant and in room dining to ensure quality, a consistent product is produced which conforms to all hotel & First Hospitality standards.
Manage associates in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen to attract, retain and motivate the associates while providing a safe work environment; interview, hire, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, recommend and conduct performance and salary reviews, provide open communication, recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate.
Schedule and manage the maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, corporate and hotel standards, and regulations.
Monitor, analyze and control all labor and food costs; prepare the appropriate reports, charts, and schedules to ensure budgets are met/exceeded while quality is maintained/improved.
Engage and make contact with every guest in line with Hotel culture. Respond to guest comments and criticism in a constructive and positive manner, looking at such as an opportunity to build guest satisfaction. Educate and empower associates to act in a similar capacity.
Assists in conducting regular associate/departmental meetings and administer counseling, discipline to associates as necessary and provide training and recognition to associates at all levels to maintain a team-oriented environment.
Assist in staffing departments with quality associates who value guest service and are committed to high standards of performance.

You should be able to... Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry moderate weight. Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time, with frequent bending and twisting. Must be able to utilize culinary tools (knives, commercial equipment, etc.) and taste/smell. Requirements...Must be properly certified in Food/Safety
Must have 5 years progressive culinary experience
Extensive food and wine knowledge and creativity
Ideal candidate will have fine dining leadership experience
Must be creative and up to speed on new concepts and food trends
Computer literate and detail orientated is a must
Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to create and understand financial reports
