Under the direction of the Manager, Building Services, the Building Services Courier will work as a cooperative team to provide excellent customer and building services. Couriers are responsible for servicing the common areas of the administrative buildings and delivering mail to the San Manuel offices. This role is also responsible for backing up the Building Services Coordinators at the reception desks as needed. Couriers will process, then deliver incoming mail and collect, process, and drop outgoing mail to San Manuel facilities and the Post Office. The role will also handle the inventory and equipment for meeting rooms, training rooms, breakrooms, and building stores. As part of the Building Services team, the Courier promotes a high level of hospitality and helps to maintain a professional environment for all visitors and team members. This role keeps complete and accurate clerical logs and records and performs other clerical duties and tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Performs mail delivery and pick up to assigned facilities; including delivery, sorting, and distribution multiple times a day, as the main mail courier for San Manuel facilities.

2. Process daily outgoing postal mail, maintaining records of departmental postage use, and providing log updates to Manager, Building Services. Ensures that outgoing mail is metered with the appropriate date and postage and delivered timely for scheduled courier drop-off and/or pick-up.

3. Collaborates with the Building Services Coordinators to determine the inventory needs for meeting rooms, training rooms, and breakrooms at administrative buildings (including vending machines and building stores) and restock as necessary, maintaining detailed inventory logs.

4. Addresses issues of maintenance and cleanliness of meeting rooms, training rooms, break rooms and other shared spaces through service tickets to Building Service Coordinators.

5. Provides back-up coverage to the Building Service Coordinators at the reception desks of the administrative buildings; including answering phones, checking in guests/visitors, and opening/closing the building as needed.

6. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.

Education/Experience/Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.
Previous Courier/Receptionist/Clerical experience preferred.
Proficiency of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) essential
Demonstrative experience working in a highly professional, multi-tasking environment and possessing outstanding interpersonal skills is mandatory.
Ability to perform courier duties which involve delivery and/or pickup services for multiple daily route locations, as well as determining schedules and best route sequences.
Ability to maintain confidentiality by being highly ethical and discreet while handling sensitive information.
Observant and proactive. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish personal rapport with internal and external clients, easy to approach, and acts with sensitivity and patience.
Must exhibit a positive attitude, respect for others, a result-oriented approach and ability to work independently as well as collectively.
Certificates/Licenses/Registrations At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
A qualified candidate/employee must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the company's insurance carrier.
