Primary Position Objectives:
This position exists to support the Adult Career Pathways (ACP), Drive for Five Adult Grant which will support partnerships, training, and employment in alignment with the Partners for Progress Project. This three-pronged career pathway model prioritizes sector partnerships between employers, educators, and students to maximize entry into fulltime sustaining
employment in Healthcare, Manufacturing, Trades, and Information Technology primarily in the Brainerd, Wadena, Little Falls, and Bemidji areas. The Lead ACP Navigator will coordinate project services and outcomes across the agency and may serve as Job Counselor for RMCEP clients not co-enrolled in other RMCEP programs. This position is grant funded for two years with the possibility of continued funding.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social and human services, or a combination of related education and related experience. At least one (1) year of client service experience. Demonstrated ability to assist individuals to make career decisions, prepare for, and enter employment. English language proficient. Ability to communicate effectively both
verbally and in writing. Computer skills to include word processing, email, and internet. Must pass a criminal background check. Requires a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual or multilingual preferred. Knowledge and understanding of multiple cultures. Familiar with computer programs
for assessment or skill development. Must work effectively in a team-structured client service delivery system. Experience
working in groups, facilitation, and motivational skills. Exceptional written, verbal, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Those who are veterans or possess the National Career Readiness Certificate will be given additional consideration.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate the activities of external partners to provide effective program services and ensure outreach and project outcomes. Review all intake documents from all counselors. Ensure employment plans and case notes are developed and updated according to policy. Utilize WorkForce One and AS400 systems to input and track project data. Arrange for partner employer outreach with enrolled clients. Track project performance to analyze goals and meet grant objectives. Provide employment and training services for RMCEP clients enrolled in the grant.
