About the Position

Eosera's Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the correct and accurate recording of transactions in the general ledger, as well as financial reporting and treasury functions. Reporting to the CFO, this position will oversee a team including an AP specialist and an AR specialist. This position is responsible for the financial integrity of the balance sheet and income statement for Eosera, as well as compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting - own and manage day-to-day accounting functions:
    • Ensure the preparation of complete, accurate and timely financial statements.
    • Ensure proper classification of balance sheet activity, proper accruals, and evaluation of assets as valid and collectible.
    • Review balance sheet activity on an ongoing basis and establish controls to ensure compliance.
    • Properly classify income statement activity, including by cost center.
    • Maintain balance sheet and income statement account structure in NetSuite, including approval of new accounts or changes in classification of activity to ensure compliance.
  • Financial Analysis - analyze financial data and present insights to support strategic decision making.
  • Compliance and Audits – develop and maintain key accounting policies and processes, as well as coordinating with external auditor during annual financial audit.
  • Budgeting – assist with preparing and managing the organization's budget and work with department heads to develop budget forecasts.
  • Treasury - Lead cash flow management activities, including weekly cash forecasting, as well as managing vendor payments and accelerating customer collections.
  • Process Improvement - Proactively and continuously seek out areas to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
  • Work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of work product.
  • Provide back-up and assigned duties for other members of the finance team.
  • Be a brand ambassador for Eosera, fostering a culture of innovation, exceptionally high standards, and true partnership with team members and all external stakeholders.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Bachelors and/or Masters in Accounting
  • Experience in a public accounting firm and/or 5-7 years of experience in a company
  • CPA is a plus
  • Some experience with inventory and standard costing in a manufacturing/CPG company is a plus
  • Some experience managing or overseeing the work of others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Business Suite and technical aptitude for other business software platforms (e.g. NetSuite, Quickbooks)
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Passionate about contributing to a collaborative, peak performance culture
