  • Serve as the On-Call Dispatcher to provide relief when needed by other Dispatchers.
  • Respond promptly to coverage requests and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to standard office procedures.
  • Answer telephones in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Utilize knowledge of internal operations and workflow processes to streamline communication.
  • Familiarity with harbor, waterfront, and boating activities and terms.
  • Cover at least 50% of short-notice requests per month for relief coverage.

Requirements:

  • Ability to answer telephones courteously.
  • Anticipate tasks and prioritize assignments effectively.
  • Type at a minimum speed of 45 words per minute.
  • Knowledge of internal operations and workflow processes.
  • Familiarity with standard office procedures.
  • Proficiency in word processing and database software.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Programs
  • Strong organization and planning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with harbor, waterfront, and boating activities and terms.

Education:

  • High School Diploma
  • One year Associates degree courses in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or work experience.
