In this position, you will use your managerial, organizational, recruiting and communication skills to nurture and grow a highly effective team. You will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the HR department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission. You are responsible for the management and administration of all human resources activities. You will report directly to the President of the Company and work closely with the leadership team to achieve outstanding organizational performance.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to understand Tenet3's goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, and surveys to support the organization's human resource and strategy needs.
  • Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to:
    • Compensation recommendations based on market analysis
    • Benefits
    • Disciplinary matters, disputes, and investigations
    • Performance and talent management
    • Productivity, recognition, and morale
    • Training and development
    • Compliance with labor laws in coordination with Tenet3's General Counsel
  • Identify staffing and recruiting needs.
  • Develop and execute best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Coordinate with Tenet3's General Counsel to monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices. Regularly review and recommend modifications of policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources and talent management. Apply this knowledge to recommend changes in policy, practice, and resources
  • Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline
  • At least 5 years of human resource management experience
  • Ability to have crucial conversations, give and receive feedback
  • Demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trusting relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, follow-through, and sense of urgency
  • Ability to maintain concise and accurate documentation
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues objectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar discipline
  • 5+ years of human resources management experience
  • PHR or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience with defense industry contracts or experience as a government program employee
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
