RESPONSIBILITIES
Housekeeping
- Perform daily housekeeping duties to ensure all rooms (incl bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining and living areas) remain clean by sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, etc.
- Manage laundry tasks: washing, drying, folding and ironing (as needed) clothes and linens
- Put laundry away and ensure closets remain neat and organized
- Make beds, changing linens and keep closets organized closets
- Conduct regular deep cleaning of household areas on rotation
- Organize and tidy rooms, ensuring neat and orderly home
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, including countertops, appliances and bathrooms
- Keep track of household supplies and order replacements as needed
- Empty trash and recycling on a regular basis
Cooking
- Prepare nutritious, delicious dinners for the family each day
- Pack lunches for children for the following school day
- Cook healthy recipes you know, and be willing to learn new ones
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen area
- Keep dishes clean and put away, including loading/unloading the dishwasher, and hand washing certain dishes
- Keep track of grocery needs and order/pick up replacements as necessary
- Ensure pantry is organized and well stocked, ordering new items as necessary
- The family prefers a healthy diet and is looking for someone who is skilled in cooking healthy, child-friendly, and delicious meals.
Errands & Driving
- Run errands such as grocery shopping and dropping off/picking up dry cleaning
- Occasionally drive children to and from after school activities
- Care for our friendly doodle dog, including feeding
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a housekeeper and cook, preferably in a private home
- At least 2 references from families you've worked for
- Excellent cooking skills with the ability to prepare healthy and varied meals
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities
- Detail oriented and able to work independently
- Confident driver with more than 5 years driving experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable around pets and willing to assist with pet care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Competent in English
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instruction
- Flexibility to adjust to the family's schedule and needs
- Pass stringent background checks

SCHEDULE
- Full time or part time: The general schedule for full-time would be Monday through Friday, 11am-7pm. For part-time it would be Monday through Friday, 2pm-7pm. The family is looking for the right person and is happy to accommodate either schedule
- Occasional evening or weekend hours
- Ability to communicate daily in person and via text
COMPENSATION
- Competitive salary based on experience: $1200 / week
- Vacation: 2 weeks paid time off, 6 major holidays paid off
