The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) is a competent, professional registered nurse who is responsible and accountable for providing safe and effective pre- and post procedural treatments to our veteran-patients requiring surgical and/or procedural intervention from cardiology, radiology, bronchoscopy, GI and medicine specialties patients.

You will use strategies to optimize patient care and safety, patient satisfaction and efficiency in the unit.

Duties included but are not limited to:


Serving as the charge nurse on a rotating basis, providing leadership in the daily flow of activities to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Implement preventative patient care measures.

Assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age-specific needs.

Provides guidance and education to patients and caregivers and collaborates with other professionals at all levels.
Reports status of service needs and contributes to problem resolution and modification of processes.

Follows procedures for the set-up, proper use, reprocessing and maintenance of reusable medical equipment (RME) based on the manufacturer's instructions.

Completes training before use of reusable medical equipment and demonstrates initial/ongoing competency as applicable to the position.

Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards.

Paid Time Off:
50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Retirement:
Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Insurance:

Licensure:
1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday; hrs
