Primary Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the District Commercial Manager (DCM) for sales interface administration between suppliers, operations and customer service. Supports DCM to complete the sales growth of the district. Acts as link between sales, Mass Pricebook Update (MPU) and operations, when necessary.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities that need interface between operations and regulatory
  • Supports DCM to determine business potential based on opportunity
  • Works opportunities through Operations/Regulatory team through to completion and track progress in SFDC
  • Review/support pricing for new product and service opportunities
  • Prepares proposal for Sales Manager and Sales team to implement
  • Cost management and Credit Upon Proof of sale (CUPS)
  • Oversees cost support request with suppliers
  • Reviews suppliers and products under support in order to negotiate for different into stock pricing
  • Identifies poor performing product families; drives activity to work on lower price with the MPU
  • Assess logistical network to improve netbacks for specific customer moves
  • Pricing Management
  • Review product mix, profitability on district basis making recommendations to implement strategy to improve profitability
  • Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Backup to DCM for Sales in S&OP process
  • Assists with Contract / Proposal preparation
  • Customer rebate contracts
  • Single Product Contracts
  • New and ongoing business contracts
  • Contract administration and filing

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-2 plus years of substantial and varied field experience required

  • Broad knowledge of chemical distribution – sales, marketing, financial, procurement
  • Strong PC skills including: Excel, Outlook, CRM, Information Warehouse, etc.
