Duties
  • You will provide immediate oversight and direction of day-to-day operations for all assigned Fire Inspectors.
  • You will develop public fire and life safety educational programs.
  • You will assist in the training of fire suppression personnel to conduct fire and life safety inspections.
  • You will interpret applicable regulations, policies, fire and life safety codes as necessary for enforcement.
  • You will investigate fires to determine cause and origin of fire (e.g., due to poor housekeeping, unsafe installations, improper materials, unsafe industrial practices, arson).
  • You will conduct first level review of building plans and specifications for building construction and modifications.
