About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Jira Project Manager. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation.
The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

• Utilize agile methodology values, principles, and practices to effectively plan, manage, and deliver solutions and new capabilities
• Schedule and lead sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings, collaborating with all teams involved to ensure sprint deliverables are prioritized and met
• Effectively and accurately communicate with the customer, team members and internal leadership
• Manage and communicate team capacity and effectively plan what can be delivered
• Estimate project lengths while considering priorities and available resources
• Work with product owners to develop/complete tasks and acceptance criteria
• Create and manage issues and issue types in Jira
• Ensure that goals, scope, and product backlog items are understood and can be fulfilled by team members
• Anticipate customer needs and work to exceed customer expectations
• Work well under pressure with tight deadlines
• Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines
• Work effectively with little to no supervision - take a proactive approach to issue identification and resolution. Work independently and take initiative without being directed
• Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement
• Train, mentor, and support teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, customers, and developers to identify and clarify the scope of problems/issues in terms of business/systems requirements and processes
• Identify and resolve impediments, finding creative ways to solve problems
• Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Education and Experience Requirements are as follows:
HS Diploma and 10+ years of related experience, or
BA/BS Degree and 7+ years of related experience, or
MA/MS Degree and 5+ years of related experience
(The degree should be in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field, or equivalent industry experience based upon above requirements.)

• Experience utilizing agile methodology values, principles, and practices
• Working Knowledge of Atlassian tool suite
• Knowledge of system engineering principles and requirements management
• Comfortable working independently to manage projects and tasks to completion
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Exceptional troubleshooter with experience resolving complex technical issues

• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum principles
• Knowledge of Scrum framework
• Negotiation & conflict resolution skills
• Ability to identify potential risks and develop contingency plans

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $156330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
