Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering with expertise in building code-based solutions for data pipelines. They should have a deep understanding of SQL, Python, cloud infrastructure, and experience in collecting data from various sources, including APIs and webhooks. The candidate should be adept at problem-solving, possess excellent communication skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Build scalable, high-performance data pipelines to support the organization's data needs.
  • Utilize solid ETL principles to quickly address any issues related to missing, incorrect, malformed, or unusable data, ensuring analysts can work efficiently.
  • Ensure connections to external data sources are secure, stable, and up-to-date.
  • Develop and implement monitoring systems for data quality checks and error logging.
  • Design and maintain a flexible data model that facilitates rapid development of new analyses.
  • Administer access to data-related systems, ensuring appropriate permissions are in place.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions accordingly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data engineering, continuously enhancing skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, focusing on code-based solutions for data pipelines.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working with data.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Experience collecting data from varied sources, including APIs and webhooks.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in a B2C, ad-driven business model.
  • Experience with HIPAA or other sensitive data.
  • Familiarity with Python data analysis libraries (e.g., Pandas, Polars, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Cloud.

Day-to-Day Duties:

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on projects.
