The Schiff Center for Liver Diseases (SCFLD) has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Research Assistant to work on the UHealth Campus. SCFLD is dedicated to clinical research and education in liver /biliary tract diseases. The incumbent must be very organized, detailed orientated and driven to serve as a patient Navigator with the ability to screen and seek patient's interest in taking part in a clinical trial. Under the direction of the Investigator(s) + APRN manager. The Research Assistant will assist with assigned project(s) and work in partnership with the lead coordinator, manager, and research colleagues. The incumbent will be assigned to assist with a Community Service: Micro HCV Elimination Project-with RAPID access to Hepatitis C (HCV) Treatment and Care linked with research within this department. The objective of this project is to develop and implement practical testing and treatment strategies for Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in Florida, with the goal of eliminating the disease. This project aims to increase awareness and access to testing, promote early diagnosis, facilitate timely treatment initiation, and prevent the transmission of HCV within the population.

  • Department Specific Functions:
  • Screen potential participants to verify study enrollment eligibility criteria and enroll participants in accordance with study protocols under the supervision of the facilitators and Investigator(s).
  • Actively recruit and consent potential participants.
  • Assist in the administration of Redcap questionnaires for data collection at baseline and follow-up assessments.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with the research support manager and university personnel.
  • Attend team meeting and study meetings.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate data on all record keeping forms.
  • Participate in all training activities.
  • Make phone calls for patient assessments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
•

Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
•

Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
•
