Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE III) Responsibilities Perform inspections and assessments of coating applications on vessels and marine structures according to NACE standards and project specifications.

Conduct surface preparation inspections, including abrasive blasting and cleaning methods, to ensure adherence to cleanliness and profile requirements. Monitor coating application processes, including thickness measurements, adhesion tests, and holiday detection (spark testing). Evaluate coating materials, techniques, and equipment to ensure they meet project requirements and industry standards. Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of coating inspections and test results. Collaborate with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve coating-related issues and ensure timely completion of projects. Provide technical guidance and training to junior inspectors and coating application teams to enhance quality and adherence to specifications. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to coatings and corrosion protection.

Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE III) Position Requirements Five (5) years of experience to include a minimum of three (3) years in a NACE Level III role and a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory and/or management experience Knowledge of the marine industry and NAVSEA standards NACE Level III Certification or equivalent Nondestructive Testing (NDT) experience preferred Recommended Skills Apache Spark Assessments Leadership Maintenance Quality Management Regulatory Requirements Apply to this job.
