JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide direction and guidance to associates in the various functional areas of responsibility. Overall strong technical knowledge relating to departmental operations and working closely with the Supervisor of the area to ensure that key objectives are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead maintenance team to minimize equipment downtime and timely completion of actions
  • Perform preventative and Predictive maintenance on machinery and other plant support equipment
  • Perform repairs on very complex machine malfunctions and breakdowns
  • Analyze breakdown and PM data to identify problem root-causes on machinery and recommend solutions
  • Retrofit and rebuild machinery
  • Lead continuous improvement and safety projects
  • Perform other related duties as required or directed.

TECHNICAL/ FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

  • Ability to work closely with engineering on machine rebuilds and installations
  • Proficient in computer skills
  • Ability to train and assist other maintenance associates
  • Ability to write machine code
  • Good organizational and communication skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience in a similar job field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of machinery and controls such as Mills, Lathes, Heat Treat Furnaces, Grinders, and Assembly Equipment
  • An in-depth knowledge of electronic and electrical equipment is required. Knowledge of Siemens, Allen Bradley, Fanuc, and PLC's preferred.
  • Basic PC Skills required; SAP experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to read blueprints/technical manuals, follow written procedures and perform trouble-shooting activities.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively in a teamwork environment, across multiple shifts.
  • Attention to detail
  • Activities include frequent walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Repetitive movement is required, such as twisting, bending, gripping, operation of hand tools
