We are in search of a driven and enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our expanding team This is a full-time role situated in our San Francisco, CA office. Your primary objective will be to support our rapid expansion in the US by identifying and securing qualified leads for our team of Account Executives.
Job Description:

As a Lead Sales Development Representative, you will take on the responsibility of managing our SDR function who initiate and conduct cold outreach efforts to secure qualified meetings for our sales team. Your pivotal role ensures the team is identifying and connecting with potential leads, nurturing relationships, and ultimately setting the stage for successful sales interactions. You will be measured on the efficiacy of delivering leads and managing the team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven history of working as an SDR, coupled with a strong drive for constant improvement and innovative approaches within the realm of sales outreach

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the SDR function including day to day execution, team performance, and outreach tactics/strategy.
Collaborate with the sales team to generate and book meetings with qualified opportunities, primarily through phone outbound but also email and in-person events, as well as capitalizing on inbound leads generated by marketing initiatives.
Lead the development and enhancement of impactful outbound campaigns.
Engage in a high volume of outbound prospect calls to assess their needs and challenges, presenting Ascend's value proposition.

You might be an ideal candidate if you have:
A background of at least 2 years in business development, sales development, or direct sales - ideally with experience in leading a small team.
Strong capabilities in cold calling and communication, able to effectively engage potential clients and establish rapport.
A robust work ethic and openness to feedback.
An analytical mindset, adept at utilizing data to inform decisions and enhance performance.
Strategic thinking, with a focus on process streamlining and perpetual enhancement.
The ability to excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to shifting priorities and business demands.

Bonus qualifications:
Experience with Salesforce or Outreach is advantageous.
Familiarity with the insurance industry.
Exposure to startup environments and adeptness in navigating ambiguity.

Location:

This position is based full time in person in our San Francisco, CA office (no exceptions).
