Wholesale Marketing Manager, AMER
What will you do?
A day in the life of a Wholesale Marketing Manager at icebreaker and Smartwool looks a little like this.
You will be responsible for strategic account marketing efforts within the wholesale marketing channel for both Smartwool and icebreaker in North America, acting as a day-to-day liaison and serving as the voice of the brands, while building and managing relationships with account contacts.
In collaboration with the Sales and Product teams, the Wholesale Marketing Manager will drive strategy for specialty retailers and key accounts in the US, developing account-specific marketing plans for both Smartwool and icebreaker to increase the sell-in of seasonal offerings and sell-through of the account's assortment. You will also work closely with internal partners in Canada to ensure strategic alignment of all wholesale activations within North America. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Marketing, AMER.
Let's break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Act as the main point of contact and owner for account/distributor marketing Build strong relationships with account contacts Ensure the Smartwool and icebreaker brand integrity is upheld in all customer-facing initiatives Plan and execute creation of seasonal tools for the wholesale/retail team audience, including in-story signage, fixtures, tech sheets, field guides, and product and brand education videos Own the strategy and execution of our field services program and many important vendor relationships What do you need to succeed?
We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you'll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 4-5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
Proven history of developing and executing complex marketing plans with National Accounts of various sizes. Preferably with apparel brands. Able to build relationships internally and externally with relevant wholesale account teams through building on common goals, leadership, and shared values. Familiar with retail business. Able to take full advantage of opportunities to listen to and interact with retail partners, learning their business and understanding their direction and needs. Ability to plan and track initiatives spanning multiple seasons simultaneously. Ability to independently manage, forecast, and track an annual budget while making necessary adjustments to hit relevant KPIs. Problem solving with the ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational structure to achieve goals. Comfortable presenting in front of an audience. Experience using project management systems (ex: Asana, Basecamp), Digital Asset Management (DAM) tools, and Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. What do we offer you?
At icebreaker and Smartwool, we know you expect as much from us as we do from you. That is why we make a commitment to support and grow our people. We offer extensive development and growth opportunities for your current and future positions, a competitive compensation package, and a strong benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
