About the Position: This position is located with the US Installation Management Command, US Army Garrison Fort Johnson, Directorate of Emergency Service, Fire Protection & Prevention Division at Fort Johnson, Louisiana.

• Develop, coordinate and manage an effective fire prevention program.
• Prepare employee performance standards and evaluates employee performance.
• Advise, counsel, and instruct employees on both work and administrative matters.
• Supervise six fire protection Inspectors.
• Serve as Assistant Chief in charge of fire prevention activities and associated training functions.
• Coordinate training needs with the Fire Chief and Training Specialist.
• Serve as Assistant Chief in charge of firefighting and hazardous materials containment activities in the absence of the regularly assigned officer and when working weekly 24 hour shift.
• Carry out the policies and instructions of the Fire Chief.
