Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Analyze the technical information (technical specifications, scope of work, division of work). Responsible for the design of the site's special tooling for site assembly in accordance with site planning and budget considering the EHS aspect. Plan the tooling design phase, follow-up and coordination with the project team. Lead and/or participate in design reviews of various projects and ensure design is consistent with site installation methods. Optimization of the tooling design or the machine to improve and reduce site installation time. Prepare information and supervise the execution of technical drawings. Write reports and engineering documents, including test procedures, engineering notes, maintenance manuals. Provide technical support to the supply chain and participate in the technical support of the site teams. Validate the costing of procedures & tooling during the tendering phase with other members of the Construction & Commissioning team. Responsible for the deliverables and budgets for their projects; Coach and mentor newcomers and junior resources.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 10 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree experience in a related occupation. Position also requires: 10 years of experience in working on turbines & generators projects and site activities for a hydro business; 10 years of experience with mechanical design in the hydroelectricity field; 5 years of experience with design work involving welding and machining; 5 years of experience with calculation methods related to material resistance; 5 years of experience with 2D or 3D design drawing software; and 5 years of experience with Excel (Vlookup, formulas, and/or pivot tables). Travel required 15% of the time, both foreign and domestic. Telecommuting may be permitted. When not telecommuting, individual must report/appear into/at GE Renewables US LLC's Greenwood Village, CO location.

The annual salary for this position is $133,973. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience and their education.
