We have just closed a further $17M in funding (total funding of $38M), to launch the world's first full manicure machine next year, having already pre-sold over $13M in annual manicure pod subscriptions to our first launch partners. Our diverse 42-person and growing team is built around individuals with a consistently demonstrated track record of introducing successful new-to-the-world products (75+ new products launched across the team).


This is a contract opportunity at 40 hours/wk and will pay between $20-25/hr. Please apply if you meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Capture hands images to to support development for the machine learning models and other algorithms.
  • Annotate/label objects in the images for deep learning training. Use our labeling software to draw polygons to represent the shapes of objects, such as fingers, nails, key points and machine parts.
  • Learn/perform intrinsic/extrinsic calibration to support development on the machines across every team.
  • Preprocess/manage datasets to ensure all data being used is viable.
  • Maintain a good image capturing/storage rule, keep a good record of the captures. Communicate with the team about image qualities and stats etc.
  • Learn and write python scripts for images batch processing and statistical analysis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possesses or is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • A high level of attention to detail and good work ethic.
  • Ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks.
  • Some experience of using Linux systems (Ubuntu).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of writing/running python scripts.
  • Basic knowledge of images.
  • Knowledge of using AWS cloud.
