As a dedicated Enterprise Resiliency Executive, you will be accountable for developing and overseeing the strategic direction of USAA's enterprise-wide business resilience program that mitigates risks from existing and evolving threats. Responsible for enhancing business resiliency lifecycle and operational effectiveness through governance, risk management, and compliance. Oversees all the Enterprise Resilience Program to include cyber availability and recovery strategies that help the organization function/adapt during any form of disruption.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL.

The OpportunityWhat you'll do:Develops and enhances enterprise-wide resilience strategies, to include cyber resiliency, to ensure USAA has the capability to anticipate, prepare for, respond to, and adapt to internal or external disruptions that impact company operations.Ensures compliance with Federal and International regulations while maintaining a comprehensive enterprise-wide business resilience program.Accountable for ensuring the Business Continuation Program is aligned with corporate plans, objectives, strategies and state and federal regulations.Provides executive oversight for the development and execution (such as contingency planning, response, and recovery strategies) of the Enterprise Resilience policy which requires Board review and approval and meets the Enterprise Resilience standard.Accountable for the teams that identify, measure, track and control business continuity violations for the enterprise and reports business continuation risks to executive leadership in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements.Accountable for the Business Continuation third party risk management due diligence assessments and reporting with rigorous focus on performance indicators, service level expectations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.Establishes projects and business process improvement initiatives required to achieve defined business outcomes to include the execution of certain Business Continuation programs required by law or regulation.Partners, collaborates, and influences effectively across the enterprise to ensure senior leaders are considering business continuity and resiliency implications and with control partners (Chief Risk Office, Compliance, Audit Services, and General Counsel) to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Collaborates with industry partners and governmental security and emergency management organizations to bring intelligence back to USAA to integrate into the operating model.Provides leadership to teams responsible for creating action plans to meet strategic objectives and goals.Cultivates high-performing teams with laser focus on ensuring risk associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.What you have:Bachelor's degree OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.10 or more years of progressive experience planning, developing, and executing strategies; managing major initiatives; and delivering results within a large financial institution or complex matrix environment related to Business Continuation, Business Resiliency, Emergency Management, Operational Risk Management, or Information Technology.8 or more years of business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency management, compliance, risk, or regulatory experience with accountability for complex programs, processes, or policies.6 or more years of people leadership experience in building, managing and/or developing high-performing teams.Extensive experience, knowledge and exposure to laws and regulations related to business continuity, the FFIEC Handbook, and any applicable federal and state laws.Executive-level business acumen and demonstrated experience with Business Continuation principals and Risk Management in the areas of business operations, technology, industry practices and emerging trends within a financial services organization or complex matrix environment.Demonstrated experience collaborating, influencing decisions, and overseeing cross-organizational programs, projects, and joint planning groups to achieve enterprise strategic goals; includes external civic, crisis, and emergency management agencies; regulatory agencies; and key enterprise stakeholders.Expert written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and complex analyses to a non-technical audience., and ability to communicate with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner, including on high sensitivity topics.Active, or the ability to obtain a valid Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification within first year of employment.What sets you apart:Demonstrated accomplishments leading business continuity and/or disaster recovery programs in a large financial services institution, preferably in consumer banking.Experience creating and executing enterprise recover strategies and business impact assessments for both technology and non-tech recovery plans.Experience leading the tech-focused testing and governance function for recovery plans, including 3rd party and cyber vault.What we offer:Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position. The salary range for this position is: $ 188, , Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors. Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
