Position Summary:

The Retail Financial Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities and staff in the financial services area for multiple retail businesses. This role involves preparing/reviewing tax returns, estimates, and financial statements, as well as providing financial advice to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and communicate work standards to staff.
  • Review and prepare various types of tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with department standards for financial statements.
  • Present financial reports to clients.
  • Provide training and support to team members.
  • Analyze accounting processes and recommend improvements.
  • Stay updated on tax regulations and best practices.
  • Supervise department staff and develop department goals.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field.
  • CPA license.
  • 5 years of tax and accounting experience.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve lifting/moving objects up to 20 pounds and sitting/standing/walking. The work environment is typically office-based with low to moderate noise levels. Travel may be required based on assignment.
