Lower State ANM Navigator

This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
Duties
The Assistant Nurse Manager/Navigator, Mental Health demonstrates a high level of clinical expertise, leadership, and creative approaches to management and navigation of complex care for mental health clients in a Community Based Outpatient Clinics.
- Applies clinical skills necessary to identify, coordinate, and/or identify discipline-specific education, as well as training in leadership, professional staff development and emerging needs to RNs in the CBOC's.
- Provides clinical supervision and for RN MH Case Managers in General Outpatient Mental Health in the lower state (Florence, Orangeburg and Sumter).
- The Assistant Nurse Manager is an active team member of the lower state Program Leadership Team and the overall interdisciplinary team.
- Promote an atmosphere of open communication that facilitates staff input into decision-making, resolution of conflict and collegiality among team members and other disciplines.
- Will provide direct clinical services to Veterans with behavioral health and substance abuse disorders such as supportive counseling, medication monitoring and whole health group counseling.
