Chemical Processing Operator

Position Summary: The Chemical Processing Operator is responsible for operating equipment to treat hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all regulations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sample testing and execute chemical treatments to meet discharge limits.
  • Handle bulk and containerized materials, operate chemical process equipment, and perform facility inspections.
  • Manage paperwork, handle oil drums, and maintain the storage facility.
  • Perform general housekeeping and equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of heating/cooling processes and equipment operation.
  • Experience using light equipment and hand tools with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle diverse responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain focus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 40-hour HAZWOPER Training program or the ability to pass the course upon hiring.
