M Health Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day/Evening shift, for 8 hour shifts, No Weekends, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. Check out the benefit link here:

The starting base rate of pay for the position is $21.47. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.
The shift times are: 6:45am-3:15pm, 7:45am-4:15pm, 10:45am-7:15am, and 12:45pm-9:15pm

Job Responsibilities
To operate as part of the anesthesia team by assisting the anesthesiologist and the CRNA in the administration and maintenance of general and regional anesthesia, by maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting various equipment needs, and by stocking and maintaining par levels of all anesthesia supplies. The nursing assistant works under the day-to-day direction of the CRNA and Charge CRNA.
Facilitates OR room turnover for anesthesia and operating rooms.
- Performs cleanup of OR.
- Readies OR for next patient.
- Accurately cares for equipment and takes action for preventive maintenance.
- Procures equipment.
- Transports specimens and blood products.
Provides proficient patient care.
- Assist in transfer/positioning of patients.
- Transport patients.
- Performs tasks with adaptations or modifications consistent with the patient's age and developmental ability.
Accurately maintains inventory control.
- Orders and track supplies.
- Monitors arrival of back orders.
- Returns incorrect or damaged orders.
- Promptly restocks department with supplies.
- Makes rounds to keep current inventory in stock
Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:License/Certification/Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
- Successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
- Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
- Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program.
- Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position.
