Maintenance Mechanic Trainee - 3rd Shift

Seeking a motivated Maintenance Mechanic Trainee to join our team. Responsible to learn and assist designated (mentoring) mechanics, electricians, and refrigeration technicians with the intention to become skilled in these various areas to have continued success.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU:

  • 3rd shift 10pm to 6:30am, Sunday -Saturday 6-day work week

  • Starting hourly pay of $20, based on knowledge and demonstrated skill.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH:

  • Meets with mentor and maintenance manager weekly to evaluate skills learned in each specific concentration area.
  • Operates, troubleshoots, and maintains mechanical and electrical automation equipment including motor control circuits, drives, and PLC systems.
  • Re-assembles equipment after it has been cleaned and ensures it is operating OEM standards.
  • Complete minor repairs and assists other mechanics, electricians or refrigeration technicians required.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, rebuilds, and calibrations according to work orders in CMMS.
  • Monitors equipment performance during production start-up, changeovers, and new installs.
  • Ensures that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are followed and the highest standards for quality, safety, and compliance are promoted.
  • Follows all company policies & procedures as well as the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or trade school equivalent preferred.
  • 1-year degree in industrial maintenance, electrical, or related field preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, AC/Servo drives, motors, and controls preferred.
  • 1-year related experience and/or training in general maintenance preferred

SKILLS:

  • 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience; food manufacturing experience is helpful.
  • Ability to use electric test equipment and take measurements accurately.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and revise documents such as equipment manuals, policies, instructions, and schematics.
  • Experience with computers including CMMS, Microsoft, and PDF applications.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English. Ability to speak Spanish is helpful.
