We are currently seeking a Senior Technician for our ATIP maintenance group which supports a variety of railroad transportation activities to maintain and ensure safe rail systems for the Federal Railroad Administration and railroad companies.
The incumbent will perform scheduled maintenance and unscheduled repair of diesel engines, electrical generators, brake systems, drive systems, inspection system instrumentation, electrical subsystems, and other railcar appliances. Occasional assignments conducting railroad track inspection operations may be performed.Job Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repairs of rail vehicles and sub-systems (Electrical, mechanical, and optical system)
  • Complete installations and upgrades, inspections, repairs, and calibrations of measurement systems
  • Coordination with design engineering for failure analysis, root cause analysis, and product improvement
  • Analysis and repair of mechanical, electrical, sub-systems, and components
  • Communication with workgroup, report on action taken during work evolutions, complete technical reports
  • Use and update drawings and diagrams used in repairs and builds of systems.
