What you will do
Lets do this. Lets change the world. This is a field-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) position in the bone therapeutic area within the US Medical Organization. The territory will include Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The Sr MSL will interact with the Bone Opinion Leaders and other Healthcare Decision Makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's corporate goals and objectives.Responsibilities
Engage with healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data to advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgens company goals and objectivesEducate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablersProvide in depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees, providing feedback to key internal team members on customer trends in interpreting and using value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy. May serve as main medical point of contact at prioritized local payer, regional payer, and IDN accountsRespond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standardsProvide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholdersImplement scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metricsDevelop and implement local OL plans in line with scientific engagement planSupport speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new dataSupport Amgen sponsored research and may serve as a study leadLiaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical researchLead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadershipAdvance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results, and set an example for others to follow by consistently demonstrating Amgen values and leadership attributes. Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with othersLead and support congress activities as aligned with strategyCompliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues. The qualified professional we seek is a Medical Science Liaison with these qualifications. Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree OR Masters degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelors degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience Preferred Qualifications:Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)Five or more years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
